Abstract: Human trafficking is a fundamental violation of the human rights of an individual. Human trafficking involves the recruitment, harboring, or transporting of people into a situation of exploitation through the use of violence, deception, or coercion, and forcing them to work against their will. Through these heinous acts, the trafficked individuals are stripped of their autonomy and subjected to severe human rights abuses. Each form of exploitation carries its unique set of physical, psychological, and emotional traumas for the victims.
