Abstract: Nan particles of spinel ferrite MFe2O4 where M= Co, Ni and Zn, were prepared using self-combustion technique. Using a combination of x ray diffraction and DC magnetization, the structural and magnetic properties of the nano particles have been studied. Although the preparation conditions were kept same, the particle size of NiFe2O4 (39.2nm) were smaller than that of CoFe2O4 (43.6nm) and ZnFe2O4 (42.1nm) hence the formation of NiFe2O4 is more exothermic in nature than the formation of CoFe2O4 and ZnFe2O4. The dependence of DC magnetization doping have been studied.
